Amboy Territorial Days Park is a community owned park located in Amboy, Washington. The park receives no city, county, or federal funds and is held in trust by a local volunteer Committee. Most of the funds raised to maintain the park are raised through the Annual Territorial Days Celebration which is held the second weekend in July each year to celebrate the anniversary of the local post office.
The Committee is a non-profit organization known as “Amboy Territorial Days Association.” The Mission Statement of the Committee states; “Amboy Territorial Days Association is a non-profit corporation guided by the interests of the community. It is established to celebrate the founding of Amboy and its history, as well as to maintain the community park. Amboy Territorial Days Association is organized exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific and educational purposes.”

Park History . . . In the late 70’s - early 80’s the Committee decided to purchase a parcel of land adjacent to the Church, which is now the NorthClarkHistoricalMuseum. At the time the Committee could only afford to purchase part of the lot, about 14 acres. Al Waser purchased the remainder of the parcel and offered to sell it to the Committee at the same price when they were able to afford it. Thanks to people in the community who contributed funds or gave “no interest” loans, the Committee was finally able to purchase a portion of the remaining acreage (approximately 4 acres) from Mr. Waser in the late 90’s. The Amboy Territorial DaysPark is located in the small, quiet town of Amboy, Washington, just 12 miles north of Battle Ground - about an hour drive from Portland, Oregon off HWY 503. Nestled amongst old growth cedars, the park offers beautiful scenery, plenty of sun, ample shade for all day events and wide open views for star gazers. Individuals and families are always welcome to stop by, have a picnic, play or just relax, without a fee. There is plenty of parking available as well as two (2) kitchens, restrooms, electric hook-ups, children’s play structure and water.
Amboy is a rough, hard-working town with a rich history of logging. As log trucks rumble by, elsewhere in the park families picnic, children play and a young couple is married.Amboy hosts its annual Territorial Days Celebration the second week of July, when the town explodes with excitement, including a parade, logging show, lawnmower races and so much more. At other times throughout the year, you may find an Easter egg hunt, a Native American encampment, antique car show, music event, or other small-town events.
